The Bedford County Chamber Foundation is proud to be celebrating the
20th anniversary of Community Reading Day:
Tuesday, April 23rd at Elementary Schools throughout Bedford County.

Community Reading Day is a literacy initiative held in partnership with the Federated Library System of Bedford COunty which also allows students to connect with business leaders to learn about careers, companies and servant leadership in the area.

Originally a program for 2nd grade students, we are pleased to expand Community Reading Day in 2019 through a partnership with the Federated Library System of Bedford County.

This year, we gladly presented books and/or bookmarks to Bedford County students in Pre-K, first, second and third grades while providing readers to each classroom. Books were sponsored by the Bedford Elks Lodge and The Learning Lamp. Many businesses and organizations also sponsored bookmarks and stickers for the students.

Special thanks to all who participated in this very special anniversary!
