Bedford County, PA — The Bedford  County Chamber of Commerce invites one and all to the 2024 Home, Garden, Lifestyle & Outdoors Show, presented in partnership with Juniata Trading Co. and State Farm Agents Matt Randall and Michael Meehan.

“The Home Show has been our signature celebration of spring for more than twenty-five years,” said Chamber President-CEO Kellie Goodman Shaffer,“ and this show has grown and evolved to reflect the needs of our businesses and the interests of the community.”

Blaine Smith, owner of Juniata Trading Company was instrumental in adding the “Outdoors” features to the show four years ago.

“With the pandemic limiting indoor activities, it was a perfect opportunity to showcase what the great outdoors and Juniata Trading Co. have to offer,” recalled Smith. “We were able to meet another demographic of people that we may not otherwise be able to connect with.  It has been such a rewarding experience, and we look forward to another successful show in 2023.”

Juniata Trading Co. partners are lending their expertise during programs, demonstrations and Explore the Outdoors opportunities with the PA Game Commission (Sat.) and the Fort Bedford Chapter of Trout Unlimited and PA Fish and Boat Commission’s Reynoldsdale Fish Hatchery Stocking Truck (Sun.) Representatives from DCNR will be on hand both days to share information about our state parks, in partnership with the Friends of Shawnee and Blue Knob.

Presenting event partners, insurance agents Matt Randall and Michael Meehan of State Farm will be on hand to provide information and experience as you look to protect your home, car and property.

As the Chamber reminds the community of the importance of shopping and doing business locally, dozens of companies will once again have experts at the ready to help you plan your next home improvement project or outdoor living space.

Featured garden sponsor Stoneham’s Motorsports will be offering their UTV Show again this year; guests will also visit with sponsors like longtime show supporters Hines Equipment, offering the Cub Cadet Test Drive Challenge, and West Central Equipment, bringing their John Deere brand to peruse.

Ask the Expert opportunities provide show-goers with the chance to learn from Penn State’s Master Gardeners, among the many exhibitors from a wide array of home improvement industries.

The HGLO Show is FREE to attend, and families will find something for everyone, including live music on the First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union stage.

Children will enjoy the outdoor exhibits, as well as the ALSM LEGO contest (Saturday, 10:30am-1:30pm) for kids ages 4-12.

The show coincides with the opening weekend of the Bedford Speedway, with a free Test and Tune event Saturday (3-6pm) and the first night of racing Sunday starting at 6pm.

Food truck fare will add to the fun, along with daily door prize drawings, including passes to the Silver Lining Drive-In Summer Movie Series.
