Celtic Thunder Star Emmet Cahill to Perform March 9th for the Bedford County Chamber Foundation
BEDFORD, Pa. – The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a special concert event featuring Ireland’s Most Exciting Young Tenor, Emmet Cahill. The star of the traveling Irish stage show, Celtic Thunder, made popular on PBS more than 15 years ago will perform a concert entitled An Irish Wish, in celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day Sunday March 9th, 2025 at the Venue at the Stables in Buffalo Mills, PA The 4pm concert will be preceded by a VIP Reception, with proceeds from the event benefiting the Spring Resort, and will benefit the Bedford County Chamber Education Foundation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Emmet back to Bedford County,” said Chamber President-CEO Kellie Goodman Shaffer. “His 2024 Valentine’s Day concert at the Omni Bedford Springs was unforgettable, and we expect an equally brilliant, albeit different event in 2025 Saint Patrick’s Day.”
“You know (last year) it was just like singing to a room of friends,” reflected Emmet, speaking from Atlanta while on his Christmas tour. “It felt super relaxed and intimate and you know it’s such a beautiful room, beautifully decorated, and I know we’re going to be in a stunning venue this time as well in March, so I’m really excited to come back and see everybody again. I know there’s going to be a ton of new people there as well, and I think what we’re going to try and create especially with coming up on St Patrick’s Day. I take my audiences on journey I want them to feel like they’re with me in Ireland singing the songs of the people telling the stories but also talking about you know that wonderful unique relationship between Ireland and America and the immigrant story is a huge thing as well, so we’re just so excited to be coming back.”
VIP ticketholders will have first-choice of seating as part of the pre-concert Meet & Greet (doors open at 2:00, VIP event at 2:30pm) including photo opportunities. General admission ticketholders may enter beginning at 3:15pm for open seating prior to the 4pm concert. Vendor food and beverages will be available, including Olde Bedford Brewing Co, Brian Klavuhn’s Wood Fired and Jackie’s Groovy Cheese (additional options may be added as well.)

About Emmet Cahill
Emmet Cahill is 33 years old and hails from Mullingar in County Westmeath in Ireland. His musical journey began with a piano lesson when he was just 5 years old. By the time he turned 7 Emmet had begun to have his voice professionally trained and he later went on to win a music scholarship for high school in Mullingar. Emmet spent the next 5 years intensively studying and playing music. At school he furthered his studies in piano, organ, violin and vocal training, but singing was always his true choice. He continued his education at the prestigious Royal Irish Academy of Music where he received a university degree in Music Performance.
Emmet has been cast in many stage productions and has performed on stage at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin and as a soloist at the National Concert Hall. He is an avid sports fan and has twice sung the Irish national anthem at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin in front of crowds of 90,000. Emmet has also performed for the former President of Ireland Mary McAleese and has sung at several international rugby games in Dublin’s new Aviva Stadium.
Emmet started his Celtic Thunder journey in 2011 on the Heritage tour with his rendition of an original song Kindred Spirits that Phil Coulter had written especially for him. The baritone of Celtic Thunder shows, Emmett performed belting solo numbers showcasing the richness of his voice. During his time with Celtic Thunder Emmet recorded the Voyage and Mythology CDs and Public TV specials as well as the Heritage and Holiday Symphony CDs. In Mythology Emmet performed the inspirational love song Always There, the haunting Irish ballad Isle of Innisfree and a uniquely beautiful version of the all-time favorite Danny Boy.
In addition to his Celtic Thunder appearances, Emmet also enjoys a vibrant solo career, making appearances around the US and the globe, including a sold-out debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall and a 2023 performance with the world-famous Tabernacle Choir.
His Irish album debuted at #1 on the Billboard World Music Charts with Sony Music USA. Recent appearances include: The Today Show, New York’s St Patrick’s Cathedral, US Pentagon, Atlanta Symphony Hall and the White House.
