Announcing the 2024 Annual Dinner Theme – Bedford County Business: The Force Is With Us
The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Awards to be presented at the Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet, planned for Thursday, September 19th.
As many as seventeen awards will be presented to outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals of the Bedford County region, recognizing a variety of accomplishments, including: excellence in business (small, medium and large categories), community service, historical preservation, property improvement, agri-business, education and servant leadership, as well as the prestigious Athena Award, sponsored by Bedford BPW and Thomas Dealerships.
The Chamber partners with BCDA, the Bedford County Visitors Bureau and Bedford County Community Connections to present awards for economic development, excellence in tourism and a commitment to hiring people with disabilities.
Businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves, or others in the community. Nominees are not required to be Chamber members. Please use the links below to download the proper nomination form or utilize the convenient online nomination form.

Annual Dinner & Awards Celebration
The Chamber 2024 Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration will take place Thursday, September 19th at the corporate hangar at the Bedford County Airport, allowing for a crowd of as many as 400 guests. The evening will showcase the excellence of the business community of the Bedford County region, beginning with a welcome reception with an array of delicious appetizers and cash bar (wine and beer.) A catered buffet dinner will be followed by the Awards Ceremony, featuring video acceptance speeches by the honorees. The Athena award will be announced during the awards program.
Our 2024 Theme will pay homage to the Star Wars film series with the title: Bedford County Business: The Force Is With Us
Guest should expect another out-of-this-world experience for a night of festive fun!
Sponsorships & registrations for the celebration are now available, with past sponsors having the first right of acceptance to renew their investment. Businesses are welcome to provide an item promoting their company for inclusion in the NEW text-to-bid auction, which will allow for greater exposure for all participating auction donors; program ads are also available to advertise businesses and/or congratulate the honorees.
