SBA Reopens Application Process for Accept PPP, EIDL Today

April 27, 2020 — EIDL, PPP Programs receive additional funding with passage of latest stimulus bill.

The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program, and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) have been replenished to provide assistance to small businesses.

Update: While the EIDL program has been infused with new funds, there is a backlog of applications that were filed prior to the depletion of funds.  These applications, which were held in cue, are being processed now and the website portal will reopen when (and if) the SBA has caught up.  Businesses (including farms and agriculture entities) are advised to prepare your materials to file and do so ASAP, as this funding is expected to again run out.

If you already have an application filed under the EIDL program, updates may be available through a regional SBA office:

Reminder: PPP applications are filed through local lenders (banks, credit unions.) If you had previously filed a PPP app with a local bank (but it was not submitted due to funds running out) you may want to confirm that the back has filed the application now that PPP is re-opened. And if you are filing a new PPP application, it is advised to do so ASAP, as they are processed on a first-come, first served basis and funding is expected to again run out.
