The business public is invited to a special celebration of the arts during the August Business After Hours mixer, hosted by the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Bedford. The evening will start with a ribbon cutting for the museum’s brand new gift shop at 4:45 p.m. Then from 5-7 p.m., those who attend will enjoy a seasonally-inspired selection of hors d’oeuvres along with a cash bar and valuable networking opportunities.

Guests will also be able to see a sneak preview of the new exhibition in the Regional and Ashe galleries: “Celebrating the Work of Mouse Myers Grass” and “A Painterly Mouse: A Lifetime of Flora & Fauna,” as well as portraits by Donald M. Robinson in the photography gallery.

The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art opened its downtown Bedford location in May of this year in the historic Anderson House after a significant renovation, creating a contemporary space for beautiful art within a building that celebrates the heritage of Bedford County.

The museum boasts eight art galleries, a children’s creativity studio and web-based audio tours. You can learn more about the museum, including their schedule of events and exhibits, online at www.sama-art.org.
