Read to Students During Community Reading Day

The Bedford County Chamber Foundation is proud to be celebrating the
20th anniversary of Community Reading Day:
Tuesday, April 23rd at Elementary Schools throughout Bedford County.

Community Reading Day is a literacy initiative which also allows students to connect with business leaders to learn about careers, companies and servant leadership in the area.
Originally a program for 2nd grade students, we are pleased to expand Community Reading Day in 2019 through a partnership with the Federated Library System of Bedford County.

This year, we gladly present books and/or bookmarks to Bedford County students in Pre-K, first, second and third grades while providing readers to each classroom.

WE ARE SEEKING VOLUNTEER READERS TO PARTICIPATE.
If you would like to read to a class in a session that is approximately 30 minutes in length (usually between 9:30am and 11am, depending on the school and class) please contact the Chamber office at 814-623-2233 or Click Here to Email Kellie Goodman Shaffer

SPONSORSHIPS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE.
Sponsors are recognized on the book plates or book marks presented to classes and students. Additional benefits of sponsorship including flier/ad placement in the Chamber’s e-Connection weekly electronic news letter and other marketing/recognition.
