One-Night-Only Dinner/Concert to Benefit the Chamber Foundation
The Bedford County Chamber Foundation is pleased to welcome acclaimed folk duo Monaco and Alameda to Bedford! The husband-and-wife band is comprised of Irish-born musician/vocalist Peter Sherdian, who also tours as part of the Celtic Thunder and Byrne & Kelly bands and Erika Sheridan, who hails from Denver, Colorado.
Their sound is described as having an indie-Americana-folk sensibility, drawing from a combination of their backgrounds and cultures, including a love of Irish and American folk music.
The pair have graciously included Bedford on their summer tour schedule, which also includes stops in New York City, Washington DC, Kansas City, Richmond and other metro areas.
Monaco and Alameda will perform as part of an Irish-American dinner at the Golden Eagle Inn dining room on Wednesday evening, July 24th. Doors will open at 5:30pm for the ticketed-event with only 55 seats available. This event WILL SELL OUT so be sure to reserve your seats ASAP.
The menu, prepared by Chef Zach Ford with whiskey and beer pairings including a special edition of Keep Your Powder Dry Irish Stout from the Olde Bedford Brewing Company will be carefully selected by Tom Salmon.
Menu: First Course: Cahill’s Irish Porter Beer Cheese Soup w/ Soft Pretzel;
Second Course: Smoked Salmon w/ Charred Gem Lettuce, Radish, Peaches
and Vinaigrette w/Dill and Chives; Third Course: Corned Duck Breast w/ Mustard Scented Jus and Pork Belly Potato Hash; Finale Guinness Chocolate Mousse. (Each course is paired with a beer and whiskey tasting – guests may substitute with wine if desired.)
Tickets are $100 each; guests may add-on a commemorative bottle of the special edition beer for an additional $25. And all are invited to enjoy an after-party at the bewery!
