Bedford, PA – In accordance with CDC guidelines stating that at  events of more than 50 people should be canceled, The Bedford County Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show will not take place as planned April 4-5.  We will make every effort to reschedule this event as soon as we have an indication of when it will be safe and advisable to do so.  In the meantime, we encourage the community to continue to support local businesses as much as possible while adhering to the CDC guidelines.  This can include ordering take-out food or having it delivered, shopping at local stores (instead of online) when at all possible.

HGL SHOW INFO:

A wonderful combination of tried-and-true standards and new features, the 2020 HGL Show will offer something for everyone.

Doing business locally means supporting neighborhood businesses, keeping important dollars in our own community. Personalized customer service is another benefit of buying local, where a handshake is still an important business tool, and where families proudly put their name and reputation on every job they do.

Guests at the HGL show will have the chance to meet and greet dozens of home improvement experts: heating and cooling, kitchen and bath remodeling, landscaping and hardscaping, vinyl siding, furniture, and so much more.  Meet with local lenders to discussing financing your next big project.

Sponsors like Homewood at Spring House Estates and State Farm agents Matt Randall and Michael Meehan provide insight in other areas, including longterm care and home, property and auto insurance.

Outdoor Exhibits: In addition to dozens of indoor exhibits, Jordan Hall will be bursting with outdoor displays as well, including many opportunities to view and test the latest in outdoor machinery like tractors, ATV’s, lawn mowers and more.

West Central Equipment will host a Drive Green event, with special show discounts on John Deere equipment.  Stoneham’s Motorsports will host their annual UTV show, with vehicles for both work and play.  And Hines Equipment will give guests the chance to get behind the wheel with the Cub Cadet Test Drive Challenge.

Families will find something for everyone, with children’s activities throughout the weekend, including Saturday’s EGGstravaganza, presented by Real Life Church, Friends of Shawnee and ALSM activities (Lego Homebuilder’s Challenge) and Sunday’s Touch-a-Truck vehicle/career fair.

More Family Fun: The Home, Garden and Lifestyle Show is more than a traditional trade show; celebrate springtime with live music by John Topper (Sat.) and Brandi Naugle (Sun.) and the Bedford Speedway Race Car Show and Race Preview, right before the season opens Sunday evening! Check back for updates as additional details become available.

Chances to Win: Special thanks to Shawnee Structures for providing a grand door prize of a garden shed in addition to the Hines Equipment Lawn Mower (both prizes will be drawn Sunday afternoon.)

Watch our Facebook promotion and guess where our mascots Rusty the Handyman and his sidekick, Tripp visit each day leading up to the HGL Show – daily drawing winners can pick up their door prizes at vendor booths at the show on April 4th and 5th.

Saturday show hours: 9am-5pm; Sunday show hours: 11am-4pm.  Food trucks will provide delicious offerings throughout the weekend.

Admission and parking are free for the Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show!
