The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the next event in our Government: It’s Your Business Speaker series: a Hunter’s Breakfast and Game Commission program focusing on Chronic Wasting Disease and other topics of interest to outdoor enthusiasts of the region.

The event will take place Friday, October 4th at the Bedford Elks Country Club with doors opening at 7:30 for a hearty breakfast buffet and the program beginning at 8am.

Game Commission Warden Jeremy Coughenour will lead the presenting team, which will also include representation from Harrisburg.

Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is an always-fatal brain disease affecting deer and threatening elk in Pennsylvania, including the Bedford County region. This program on the eve of archery season will provide hunters and other stakeholders in the region, as well as the business community the latest information on the disease, as well as the Game Commission’s plans to manage the issue in Pennsylvania and here in Bedford County.

The program will also allow a facilitated question-and-answer session for this and other topics of interest.

Sponsorships for this event are available to businesses who may be interested ($300-$100 opportunities.) Cost to attend as an individual is $25 per person. Register by calling the Chamber office at 814-623-2233 during regular business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm.)
