For the third straight year, the Chamber is partnering with the Rotary Clubs of Bedford to present the county’s biggest career fair of the school year: Wednesday, September 20th, 9am-11:30am as part of the Bedford County Business Community Showcase at the Bedford County Airport.

More than 70 businesses are expected to participate, along with representatives from organizations like the US Marines, National Guard, Bedford Ambulance Association, and much more.

Area colleges and universities are also invited to participate in order to show students as many opportunities as possible as they begin to plan their futures.

The students will have an added treat during the career fair as they have the chance to hear from young entrepreneur Adam Wiley, a partner with his mother in Bedford Candies.

Wylie launched the gourmet popcorn part of the business as a senior class project, and has since helped the company grow to include stores in  both Bedford and Altoona.  He’ll share his inspiring story with more than 350 high school students.

There is still time to join in the festivities as a sponsor, exhibitor or registrant. For more information on the career fair, call the Chamber office at 623-2233.
